WHY I MADE THE SWITCH TO MATCHA
IF YOU KNEW ME A YEAR AGO you might be shocked to know i’m not drinking coffee everyday, or like hardly at all. i am EXCLUSIVELY a matcha gal now.
& in case that not only surprises you, but also intrigues you, i have created this post to serve as my explanation.
let me start by setting the scene, up until about 10 months ago i had been drinking coffee every morning for about 4 years. at the start of 2021 i started noticing that i was dealing with a level of every day anxiousness and the onset of sporadic panic attacks. this change in my mental health forced me to re-evaluate the things that i was doing on an every day basis to see if i could narrow in on a possible trigger. that’s when i decided to give up my morning cup of coffee to see if maybe that had any part to play in the matter. to my disappointment it did. :(
now hear me out, i’m a comfort seeker kind of gal in the morning. nothing better than waking up and enjoying a warm cup of coziness. so something needed to replace my daily coffee. cue, matcha. i began dabbling in making matcha lattes and quickly became her #1 fan, especially when i learned about/experienced all the benefits it has to offer. so let’s talk about those benefits.
